Packing lunches and love

Bentoist

Packing lunches allows me to enjoy foods I like, in portions my waistline will enjoy, and introduces me to fellow bento enthusiasts out there. My husband enjoys his lunches so much, he won't stop telling everyone about them.

Gilaswan

I'm a FTWM to a little princess and wife to a wonderful man who absolutely loves my bentos! I bento primarily for him and when my princess eventually starts school, I'll bento for her too. Why do I do it? Just because it says, "I love you."

Puff of Love & Thanks for the Awards!

From time to time, Bentoism.com gets an award from a fellow blogger out there, making us puff with pride. Thank you for the love!

*Blows kisses all around* "Muak, muak!"

Brillante Weblog from Food for Tots

I understand the accepted practice when given these awards is to pass it on to others with a set of rules. I am uncomfortable with telling someone their blog is wonderful and then giving them rules telling them what to do with it. (No offense to all the wonderful people who love my blog enough to give me an award.) Therefore, in the spirit of free-styling aka rule-bending, I am not posting any rules; there are none to follow. Recipients of the awards are welcome to pass on the awards to as many or as few blogs as they wish, or even none at all. Getting an award from me simply means I think your blog is great.

E for Excellent Awards
Kian at the Red Cook does Chinese Cuisine justice with well-written articles on the dishes he serves up. His latest endeavor is a series of posts as he covers the James Beard Foundation's Dumplings and Dynasties event. He sure knows his Chinese food. Go Kian!

Kang L. at Londoneater makes me want to buy an air-ticket to London every time with tales of his culinary adventures. His prolific offerings on the London dining scene, infused with British English and cheeky humor, have me cracking up and drooling at the same time. Oh yes, it's not a very flattering picture and that's why I avoid reading LondonEater in public.

Cajun Chef Ryan is constantly serving up great food down in New Orleans. His blog offers that professional chef perspective on food that I really enjoy.

I Love Your Blog Awards
Gail at the Pink Peppercorn loves food as much as I do. Her posts and recipes struck me as filled with warmth and love, and that is why I love her blog.

Jessie @ The Hungry Mouse is a daring home baker with innovative ideas and serves up exciting baked creations all the time. See her Meringues' posts to know what I mean. But my favorite recipe of hers by far would be the Bitter Triple Chocolate Bread.

Meg @ Megan's Munchies is also full of that generous love. Her content are both adventurous and down-to-earth at the same time. See Pumpkin Pie Wontons & You Know You Are A Food Blogger When... #1.

Janet @ The Gourmet Traveller showed me the way on how to fry up my first dish of chow fun with her recipe on Cantonese Stir-Fried Beef Rice Noodle. For that, I am eternally grateful. That aside, her blog details her food adventures with droolicious photography.

Food for Tots serves up that Chinese home-style cooking in dishes such as Steamed Chicken with wolfberries and red dates. She demonstrates great photography skills especially with that mouth-watering picture of her siew mais.

Now that wasn't too long of an acceptance speech, right?
